How we get you a better cruise deal
"Best deal" gets thrown around a lot in cruising. Here is exactly what we do, what we don't, and how we get paid, so you can decide if we're worth a try.
1. We compare more than the headline price
The same cabin on the same sailing can have several prices depending on fare type (refundable or non-refundable deposit), promotions, past-guest offers, resident or age-based rates, and group space. A cheaper sailing on a different week, or a cabin one category down in a better location, can save more than any coupon. We check those combinations for you.
2. We quote the real total
Every quote shows the full price for your cabin: cruise fare plus taxes, fees and port expenses. We list the line's daily gratuities separately, along with anything you'd likely add, like drinks or Wi-Fi packages, so you can compare lines fairly.
3. We keep checking after you book
Until final payment we re-check your fare. If it drops and your fare type allows a re-price, we ask the cruise line to apply the lower price. This is something most people never do for themselves, and it's where a lot of real savings come from.
4. Perks, only when they're real
Cruise lines and agencies sometimes add onboard credit, prepaid gratuities or other extras. When those are available on your sailing, we include them and state their value plainly. We won't pad a quote with things you'd get anyway.
What we never do: fake countdown timers, "only 2 cabins left" banners we can't verify, invented reviews, or booking fees on cruise fares.
How we get paid
Cruise lines pay travel agencies a commission out of the fare. We book through a licensed host agency, which receives that commission and shares it with us. That means our advice is free to you and the cruise price is the cruise line's price. Commission is generally paid only after a booking is paid in full or has sailed, so we're rewarded for trips that actually happen, not for pushing you into one.
Who handles your money
Deposits and final payments go to the cruise line through our host agency's booking system. This website never asks for card details.

Questions about how we work
How does MyCruiseMonkey make money?
Cruise lines pay travel agencies a commission on the cruise fare when a booking sails. We book through a licensed host agency, which receives the commission and shares it with us. You pay the cruise line's price; we do not add booking fees to cruise fares.
Will you match a lower price I find somewhere else?
Send it to us. If it is the same sailing, cabin category and fare type, we will check whether we can book it at that price or better and tell you honestly either way. Cruise lines set rules on what agencies can offer, so we cannot promise to beat every advertised deal.
What is fare re-pricing?
Cruise fares go up and down. Before final payment, some fare types can be moved to a lower published price for the same cabin category. We re-check booked fares until final payment and request a re-price when the cruise line allows it. Rules vary by line and fare type, and we explain them for your booking.
Do you offer onboard credit or perks?
When a cruise line or our host agency makes onboard credit, bonus perks or group amenities available on a sailing, we include them in your quote and show their real value. We will never inflate a quote with perks you would get anyway, such as the cruise line's own loyalty benefits.
Is my payment safe?
Payments go to the cruise line through our host agency's booking system. This website never asks for, stores or processes card numbers.
