This policy explains how MyCruiseMonkey ("MyCruiseMonkey", "we", "us") handles personal information collected through mycruisemonkey.com and when you contact us.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, email, phone number, ZIP code or state, and how you prefer to be contacted.
- Trip details: destinations, dates, travelers, cabin preferences, budget, occasions and notes.
- Booking request details: guest names as shown on travel documents, dates of birth, gender as shown on ID, citizenship and cruise line loyalty numbers. Cruise lines require these to price and book cabins.
- Technical data: a one-way hashed version of your IP address for spam and abuse prevention, your browser type, and the page and campaign that brought you to us.
- Analytics and advertising cookies, only if you accept them in our cookie settings.
We do not collect payment card numbers on this website. Payments are made to the cruise line through our host agency's booking systems. Please don't send card or passport numbers through our forms.
How we use it
- To research, quote and book the cruises you ask about, and to service your booking.
- To contact you by your chosen method about your request.
- To send deal alerts if you sign up for them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To protect the site against spam, fraud and abuse.
- To understand which pages help people plan, if you consent to analytics.
Calls and text messages
We call or text you only if you ask us to and give consent on our forms. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or tell us by email. Message and data rates may apply.
Who we share it with
- Our host travel agency and cruise lines, and suppliers you ask us to quote (for example insurers or hotels), to check availability and make bookings.
- Service providers who run parts of our service under contract, such as website hosting, databases and email delivery.
- Advertising and analytics partners (such as Google), only if you accept those cookies.
- Authorities, when required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and similar technology
We use essential browser storage to make forms work and remember your cookie choice. Analytics and ad measurement cookies load only if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time with . Declining does not affect your ability to use the site.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information for up to 3 years after our last contact with you, and booking records for as long as required for accounting, tax and legal reasons. Deal-alert data is kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to know what we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising. To make a request, email hello@mycruisemonkey.com. We'll verify the request and respond within the time the law requires. We won't discriminate against you for using these rights.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, stored in access-controlled systems, and limited to people who need it to serve you. No system is perfectly secure, which is one reason we never take card numbers on this site.
Children
Our site is for adults planning travel. Children's details are collected only from a parent or guardian as part of a family booking request.
